The app collects nothing.
The Scout app for iPhone and iPad sends no data to us or anyone else. Your recordings, transcripts and settings stay on your device and on your Scout.
In short

Apple's on-device AI
Transcripts are made with Apple's on-device speech recognition. Suggested titles come from Apple Intelligence's on-device model. Both run on your iPhone or iPad: the audio and text never leave it.
This processing is done by Apple's software, built into iOS and iPadOS, not by us. Apple describes how it handles privacy in Apple Intelligence & Privacy and in Apple's privacy policy.
Good to know
The app's data is part of your device's iCloud or computer backups by default, like other app data. To keep recordings out of backups, turn off Settings → Sync → Include in backups.
The app can put together a usage report about how you use Scout, never what you record. It's only sent if you choose to email it to us.
